Proud to be a member of the BDA good practice
Why BDA good practice?
BDA Good Practice provides a quality assurance framework that helps you keep your practice up to date, develop systems for the delivery of care and communicate your achievements to your patients. BDA Good Practice requirements are underpinned by professional, legal and ethical responsibilities.
The requirements are kept under review and are regularly updated to ensure that you are aware of and meet your professional responsibilities. Developing effective systems requires a confident, professional and inspired team to work together and benefit the practice. BDA Good Practice is a team activity that offers team members greater ownership of their role and increases opportunities for training and development. Staff development can help your business performance and raise your profile – with patients, regulators, primary care organisations and the wider community.
Caring in the community
Our oral health educator Hayley, visited the Folkestone raindow centre to make a donation on behalf of Dr Bateman and the Cheriton dental Practice. The £1000 donation will be of a huge benefit to the clients who hope to use the funds to purchase a fabulous piece of new technology “The Eye Gaze Edge” The Eyegaze Edge is an eye-operated communication and control system that empowers people with disabilities to communicate and interact with the world.
By looking at control keys or cells displayed on a screen, a user can generate speech either by typing a message or selecting pre-programmed phrases. Eyegaze Edge Systems are being used to write books, attend school and enhance the quality of life of people with disabilities all over the world.
